Founder & Principle Designer
With a formal education in Art, Fashion & Textiles, Rachel began her career in Visual Merchandising, where she cultivated an instinct for composition, texture, and spatial storytelling. This early immersion in the art of display naturally evolved into a vocation in interior design, leading her to a prestigious Gloucestershire practice in her twenties. There, she worked on some of the country’s most distinguished private estates, refining her craft and developing a profound understanding of materiality, proportion, and the nuances of timeless design.
Now, with over 25 years of experience and as the founder of Studio Ray, Rachel approaches each project with a discerning eye and an intuitive grasp of her clients' aspirations. Her work is not dictated by a signature aesthetic but rather by an ability to distil her clients’ visions into richly layered, evocative interiors that feel both deeply personal and effortlessly sophisticated.
